About me

Hello — I'm Zainab.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and trauma-informed therapist who provides integrative psychological care tailored to each client’s unique needs. My work draws from **Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS)** approaches, with a strong focus on understanding the impact of trauma, relationships, emotions, and life experiences. I aim to create a safe, compassionate space where clients can develop greater self-awareness, process difficult experiences, strengthen their inner resources, and move toward meaningful and sustainable change.

My approach

Three things I hold to.

01

Psychodynamic Approach

I use a psychodynamic approach to explore how early experiences, relationships, emotions, and unconscious patterns may influence a client’s present thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Together, we develop insight into these patterns and create space for deeper self-understanding, emotional processing, and meaningful change.

02

Internal Family system -IFS

I use an IFS-informed approach to help clients understand and connect with different parts of themselves, especially those carrying difficult emotions, beliefs, or past experiences. Through curiosity, compassion, and a non-judgmental process, we work toward greater inner harmony, self-understanding, and emotional healing.

03

Humanistic,CBT,Trauma informed approach

**Humanistic:** I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore themselves, strengthen self-awareness, and move toward personal growth. **CBT:** I help clients identify unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns and develop healthier, more balanced ways of responding to life’s challenges. **Trauma-Informed:** I work with sensitivity to each client’s experiences, prioritising safety, trust, choice, empowerment, and understanding how trauma may shape present-day emotions and relationships.

What I can help with

  • Anxiety.Helping clients understand and regulate anxious thoughts, emotions, and physical responses while building healthier coping strategies.
  • DepressionSupporting clients in understanding underlying patterns, reconnecting with themselves, and gradually restoring motivation, hope, and meaningful engagement.
  • Trauma (sexual, physical, emotional)Creating a safe, compassionate space to process difficult experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and rebuild a sense of safety and self-trust.
  • EMDRI use EMDR when past distressing or traumatic experiences continue to affect a client’s present emotions, thoughts, behaviours, or sense of safety. It may be considered when the client has sufficient stability and readiness to engage in trauma processing within a safe, structured, and collaborative therapeutic process.
